Danish company Terma has signed a contract with Canadian satellite manufacturer MDA Space to supply ground support equipment for MDA's AURORA satellite product line, Terma said on 21 September 2026. The equipment will test and validate MDA's satellites during production.
Terma stated that it "will provide critical ground support equipment for MDA’s satellite platforms" and "[support] satellite constellations and [ensure] reliability and precision".
Terma's deliverables include Power Special Check-Out Equipment (SCOEs) using its UniverSAS technology, Radio Frequency (RF) SCOEs for RF testing, and Central Checkout Systems based on its CCS5 product, according to Terma. Terma also said that the systems are designed to be scalable and modular across satellite platforms.
Mats Warstedt, Terma's Senior Vice President for space, said the contract "demonstrates trust in our solutions and underlines our role in helping ensure satellite constellation reliability."
