Element Metech has signed a five-year pricing agreement with Lockheed Martin for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in Finland. The deal makes the company part of Lockheed Martin's Product Support Provider network (PSPn) for the F-35, Element announced.
The agreement covers non-flying F-35 products, the company said. These include aviation ground support equipment, pilot simulators and IT systems. Element Metech will provide testing, calibration and technical services across the equipment's life cycle. No value was disclosed.
– The agreement is a clear recognition of our expertise in calibration and technical services. It strengthens our position as a long-term partner to the defence industry in Finland, says Viktor Runius, Defence Director (Nordics) at Element Metech.
Element Metech is the calibration division of Element. The company says it runs 20 test and calibration laboratories in Europe, plus mobile calibration labs. It also offers calibration at customer sites.
